Annie Murphy Paul is a journalist, author, consultant and speaker. A frequent contributor to Scientific American, The New York Times, Time magazine, and Slate, Paul is the author of two previous books, "The Cult of Personality" and "Origins," a New York Times Notable Book. Her next book, titled "Thinking Outside the Brain," will be published by Eamon Dolan Books/Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2018. She is the author of the popular Brilliant Blog and the founder of BrilliantEd LLC, a training and consulting company; she speaks frequently at schools and companies around the country, and her TED Talk has been viewed more than 1.3 million times. A graduate of Yale College and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Paul is a fellow at the New America Foundation and senior editor at the Yale Center for Teaching and Learning.
